The Roadmap

Our roadmap is not prescriptive, but will guide how we move forward together. Steps may vary between Places and should not be seen as linear – some may happen in parallel, others will be iterative. Some Places have already begun work, and the strategy must support them to build on what they have already achieved.

If your organisation would like to be involved in progressing the work at a local or a subregional level then get involved today!

Get Involved

Establish and grow System Leader networks

Subregional

Subregional System Champions network to continue to evolve and guide and facilitate at subregional level.

Place

Subregional Champions to initiate local System Leader networks through local frameworks and Place-Based Partnership Boards.

Growing our network of System Leaders will be everyone’s responsibility. We will bring people in organically and by encouraging interest through showcasing work and how it is benefiting communities. Community engagement will include making community members into System Leaders in their own right.

Create Funding & Resource Plans

Subregional

Subregional funding and resource plans will focus on:

Campaigning to put physical activity on the subregional agenda, both across the health and social care system and more widely.
Aligning existing national, subregional and local partner resources with shared priorities.
Co-ordinating large scale funding bids underpinned by robust evidence. Ensuring resources are directed to areas of greatest need.

Place

Local funding and resource plans will focus on:

Working with local organisations and individuals to secure commitments.
Aligning local resources to meet shared aims.
Supporting subregional bids where these align with local objectives.
Partnering with the community sector in ways which build sector skills and capacity.

Create Funding & Resource Plans

Subregional

Subregional implementation plans will focus on the use of subregional resources for cross-subregion benefit, for example:

Liaising with subregional entities.
Lobbying for policy change.
Co-ordinating training needs.
Sharing learning.
Considering emerging opportunities and supporting collaborations between Places to build on progress with these.

Place

Local implementation plans will incorporate a Place-Based Framework that includes:

Defining how the All Together Active themes can best support local health needs and tackle inequalities.
Identifying pilot projects
Identifying synergies across the subregion and ways to benefit from collaborative working.
Continuing with local engagement to ensure plans evolve effectively.

Agree on collaborations

Place-based plans will help identify opportunities for collaboration that will benefit Places and the subregion as a whole.

Create evaluation frameworks

Subregional

All Together Active will help to inform and co-produce a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, that will showcase Place and Subregional progress towards the strategy's ambitions

Place

Appropriate measurement frameworks to be identified and implemented, aligned with local needs. Local System Leaders with experience of system evaluation will be identified to oversee the work, in partnership with local communities.

Implement and scale up

Implementation is already happening in every Place and will continue. Once plans are in place, however, we can move to a more structured process taking us through from pilot projects to learning, adapting and scaling up.
